OK, so this isn't a cheery post, but Ineed to get it off my chest. Yesterday a little girl came to school with some "suspicious" bruising on her. I asked her what happened there, and she told me her mom pinched and grabbed her really hard and made her cry. She said her mom was being naughty and that she was scared of her. This is a girl that continually comes to school filthy and totally stinky to the point where other kids move their desks away from her because she smells so bad. Add to that lice that doesn't ever get completely taken care of and bathroom issues that sometimes leave her smelling like BM on top of the other smells. Now when she comes to school we have to clean her up before she can go to class. So anyway....yeasterday the principal ended up calling social services because of the bruising added too much to the rest. When did they show up???? Today at noon. they talked to her for 15 minutes. The girl is CD and they wouldn't let anyone even in there while they were there. We have no idea what she told them, if she understood what they were asking her, or if they understood her. Apparently this is typical for this county, which sucks. They did not do a very good job instilling any amount of confidence in us that they were going to do anything about this at all.
I just hope that nothing worse happens to this poor, poor little girl. So sad....and totally pissed!
