It has been over 3 days now that my daughter has been sick. Friday mid-morning she had a fever, and around noon started the fun "aim for the bucket" stuff. I hate when the kids are sick, that they are miserable. I also don't like the time when they still don't feel great, but feel better than they have, and they start to kind of enjoy being sick. She has gotten to this point. She still had a fever and sore eyes (some kind of infection in her eyes on top of whatever else she has), but has stopped throwing up and the fever isn't as high as before. Now she just can't do anything for herself except yell for me...and I mean yell. If I didn't know better I would think she is deliberately waiting for me to go upstairs for something, or downstairs for laundry, and then lets it rip. It sonds like an emergency, so I run to her, and then it's something like, "Can you cover me up," or "My water is too warm." I love her and I feel bad that she feels icky, but come on! You needed to scream like some wild beast was gnawing your leg off because your water is warm?
Then on top of that there is my son, who just wants to do something. We played games, and I tried to keep him busy. He was a helper all weekend, but he was bored, so he got to be a little stinker. And the dog, too. He and the dog would try to play together, but it didn't take long for their playing to turn loud and rowdy, and I had to shut it down. Poor boys. And it just added to the wonderfulness of the weekend that hubby had to work...the whole weekend...early to late.
This could be the end of it. I think her fevr is gone, and she seems perkier than she has since last Thursday. Besides, if this goes on much longer, I just might run away!
